June of this year brought a moment of great joy for me - the celebration of my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.  It also brought another rare occasion, my sister Donna being able to come and visit, to spend some exclusive time with us as a family of  four once again.  My parents sole wish was for us to have time together, and this we did.  They also wished to have pictures to commemorate the get together as well as some of themselves. 

It wouldn't be a "Jesse Gathering" without some fun.  Hence we had to also take out the family corvette with us for some photos.  It is Vin #5678, and is a 1959 Corvette, with lots of family stories of its own.  This beauty of a car has been in the family since 1967.  It was not pretty black then, it is pictured below in this colorized photo as it was in 1967.  Other than the color change, the car has been restored as it was then.

We had a wonderful week together, packed with memories and laughter.  Although I say it for myself, I know my sister would agree, we are blessed with wonderful parents.  They are ones of individual strengths and character that have molded us to strive to always do our best, but never forget to laugh along the way.  We thank you for who we are, and we enjoyed celebrating this golden moment in your lives.
